WE DO NOT SHIP MISO DURING THE SUMMER MONTHS.
PLEASE ORDER MISO DURING THE COOLER MONTHS OF THE YEAR!
South River Miso and South River Miso Tamari are unpasteurized, living fermented foods.
We can not ship these products during summer-like weather. The extended warmth and vibration of road
travel can induce active fermentation and cause expansion and leakage of the product.
We minimize this effect by shipping only during the cooler months of the year.
Unpasteurized miso and miso tamari will keep for an unlimited time when refrigerated;
so you can stockpile these products to cover your summertime needs.
OUR MAIN SHIPPING SEASON IS FROM
September 15 to May 25
with the following regional exceptions:
For our customers in the New England states
(MA, RI, ME, NH, VT, CT), New York, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey,
our shipping season for UPS Ground shipments is from
September 15 to May 25
except during unseasonable hot weather.
For our customers in the mid western and mid Atlantic states
(OH, IN, IL, MI, WI, MN, DE, MD, VA, WV), our shipping season is from
October 1 to
May 25 except during unseasonable hot weather.
For our customers in
TN, KY, NC, SC, IA, ND, SD, NE, MO, KS, CO and the northern tier of western states
(WA, OR, MT, ID, WY, UT), our shipping season is from
October 15 to April 25 except during unseasonable hot weather. After April 25, we ship only by UPS 2nd Day Air until May 25.
For our customers in
California, the southern states
(GA, FL, AL, MS, LA, AR, OK, TX), and the southwestern states
(NM, AZ, NV), our shipping season is from
November 1 to April 25, except during unseasonable hot weather. After April 25 we ship only by UPS 2nd Day Air until May 25.
For our customers in
Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and
countries outside the
U. S. our shipping season is from
October 15 to April 15 except during unseasonable hot weather. Shipping limitations will vary depending on where you live. We generally ship via U. S. Postal Service Priority Mail to these areas. Our website can calculate only UPS shipping costs for the continental U. S. If you are ordering from outside the continental United States, please submit an order, and we will communicate with you directly regarding shipping costs before processing your order.
