Springtime Greetings from South River Miso!
The rebirth of life in Spring is such a blessing! Support your own rebirth of health and well-being by regularly using South River Miso in your meals.
Miso has been made in Japan for over 1,300 years. Truly a
time-tested seasoning, it was taken into battlefields in its dry form by samurai warriors to give them strength and endurance.
Today we know through nutritional testing that miso contains numerous beneficial microorganisms, active enzymes, and naturally occurring probiotics. It can supply small amounts of vitamin K2, B12, isoflavones, and high quality vegetable protein. Its numerous microorganisms can support healthy digestive and immune functions.
South River Miso is cooked by woodfire and is always organic. It’s hand-made and hand-packed by a small group of dedicated food makers in the clean countryside of western Mass with the South River flowing nearby.
Speciality miso varieties made by South River include
Hearty Brown Rice
